In the expert presentation "Flächenmonitoringsysteme auf CODE-DE im Behördenumfeld", Dr Moetz (ZKF) explains the use of CODE-DE as an infrastructure for public authorities in area monitoring within the "Agrarförderrecht".

As part of the legal requirements for land monitoring within the Common Agricultural Policy (Gemeinsamen Agrarpolitik, GAP), the Central Competence Centre for Land Monitoring (Zentrales Kompetenzzentrum Flächenmonitoring, ZKF) was established. The ZKF has the task of supporting the federal government and all federal states with regard to the use of land monitoring systems and coordinating state activities.

The ZKF uses the CODE-DE infrastructure to provide land monitoring applications for the federal states, collates data from the integrated administration and control systems (Integrierten Verwaltungs- und Kontrollsysteme, InVeKoS) of the federal states and is responsible for the technical coordination of the quality assessment of the land monitoring systems and for data exchange with the European Commission. In this context, the CODE-DE Cloud plays a key role in ensuring access to remote sensing data, the establishment of secure virtual working environments and the development of services relating to land monitoring.
